Baby Jax

You may remember this name from a maternity session (click to see)  not too long ago out by the blue truck. Baby Jax has finally arrived and his parents are madly in love. He was the second newborn baby that I was privileged to take pictures of this past weekend. I am so grateful to have gotten to turn a hobby into something bigger. Seriously God? I get to do this?!!!
Loving on babies is one of the best perks of this job! Even better is to have repeat clients who trust me with these important parts of their lives. We had a nice little visit and I got some great decorating ideas. This new momma has a house full of great rustic style decor!
Mr Jax has the coolest route 66 nursery, it is a theme he could grow with, which is so smart too!
Here are some sneaks from his session...

Jax's daddy had the magic touch to get him to sleep for us! See we got some great shots!
Enjoy.

Baby Alex

How sweet is this baby boy?!
This sweet family goes to our church. (Chapel Creek Fellowship) We also attend the same community group.*
So I jumped at the chance to take some pictures of this sweet boy, his brother, and parents. His older brother also happens to be just a few days older than my youngest and I just know once they start playing with others they will be great friends some day. (right now they are pretty content to explore on their own. :)
Alex was such a calm baby. Mom says brother was too! How lucky blessed are they?
Check out this sweet precious new baby. Perfection!

Psalm 139:13You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb.

Here are some with the whole family. They are precious friends, happy to have taken these for them!

Happy Fourth!

Here is my little nephew who is set to be a big brother anyday now! One of my sisters and I went out to take pictures of her son and 2 of my kiddos this morning. Uhmm, wow, that is a lot of work, especially when she is at her due date with her second son and I am taking pictures. Phew... SERIOUSLY hard work. Not to mention we were in a really bad part of town and extremely nervous about our surroundings.
Anyways, it was worth it for her guy, even though I am not loving the shots I got of my boys. Oh well! Another day maybe?
Happy Independence Day! Be careful and have lots of fun tomorrow!

The Troup Family--Missionaries to India

Mark 16:15 - And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature

Taking a leap of faith

Have you ever met people that just had a countenance about them? That is this entire family. The Troups are a family that have made a life decision to follow where the Lord will take them. Read on to hear a little of their story...
Below are the pictures I was blessed to take of this awesome family. Walt and Karen Troup are leaders in my church. Walt is the associate pastor. Our church has strong ties to missions in India, and his wife Karen was fortunate enough to get to go on a mission trip this past year at the end of 2012. She left for three months and missed Thanksgiving and Christmas with her family. I followed both both Walt's and Karen's accounts as she bravely left her family for a short time to answer God's call. It is a pretty amazing testimony.
This past weekend Karen messaged me about pictures for their trip of a lifetime. They are making brochures to raise money for a huge commitment  to return to India and make it their home, and they need pictures to make the brochure pretty. They are going full time in the mission field. I am speechless at the thought of how they will be blessed by their willingness to go. Their daughter was my daughter's first friend when we moved over here a little over 2 years ago. What an amazing adventure she has ahead of her!
If you want to read about the work they will do in India, click the link above to see what it is they are doing. If you want to help support this family, you can make donations to help them in their efforts to make this move.
And if you are a pray-er... pray for this family!
Walt, Karen, and Sadie... I hope the pictures are what you wanted. I am pleased with how they turned out. Thank you for your boldness. I am proud that you have a part in the church we attend.

oh one more thing... If you are looking for a church in Fort Worth, check out our church, Chapel Creek Fellowship. http://chapelcreek.cc/

My Hudson

I was putting together a new brochure for my photography business and Hudson wanted to see one. I didnt do it on purpose, but it had a picture of Peyton and Maddox and no Hudson. As you can imagine, my almost four year old noticed this immediately and said, "where is me Mommy?"
I started looking and realized we had not done pictures in a while with him. So we threw on some clothes, went to the park just he and I, and had a quick session. Will these go up in our house? Probably not, the location was literally a minute from the house and not my favorite... but I just look at these and think when did he become my big boy? He makes any location look perfect if I do say so myself!
He has been a pretty sweet boy. He loves his momma more than anything, and I of course eat this up. He has a wit that is downright nasty(in a great way), and the best eyes ever. He kisses me all the time too. He loves to play catch with Daddy and t-ball with just about anyone who will make the time.
3 has been smooth sailing until these last 2 months. He has become a little stinker, antagonizing his brother, and trying to fib to get out of trouble. I know this is a phase though. We do lots of talking about it and we pray that God will help us to be patient. Oh Lord we need it.
We recently had a big scare with ants and have found him to be highly allergic to them. The doctor sent us home with an epi-pen which is a little scary, but we would rather be pro-active. What else can I say about him? Oh he is a technology freak. He loves Mario cart, angry birds, and candy crush. Really any game on the iPad or Wii. He likes to learn and he loves to be "smart." He is my little cuddle bug and we are blessed beyond anything we could ever hope for with all three of our babies.
Here are a few pics from our little session tonight...

Draper Sneak Peek

Heard that saying... "The family that plays together, stays together."
I just love taking pictures of families that genuinely enjoy each other's company. This family has lots of love for one another. They were playful and lived for the not so serious pictures. I am in the middle of editing, but wanted to put some sneaks up so far.
The Draper Family got together to surprise their parents with pictures for their upcoming 50th wedding anniversary. Their mom's favorite color is turquoise so they all wore it in her honor. The weather was perfect for this sweet family. They were so playful with each other and were fun to be around. Pictures are always a great gift, if I do say so myself. :)

Remember be sure to "like" us on facebook for different sneak peeks
