The Davila Wedding
AHHH! I cannot get over this wedding venue. When I looked online it looked like your typical, but beautiful none the less barn style wedding venue.
As we wrapped up the ceremony the venue owner drove up in her truck and told us all to hop. We went down a dirt road for about five minutes and what I
saw next, I was not prepared for! These canyons (not typical for North Texas AT ALL!)
I seriously wanted to jump out before the truck stopped.
Also, might I add that Jessica and Marcos are both naturals in front of the camera.
THIS. IS. WHY. I. TRAVEL.
What a treat to enjoy.
Marcos was in awe of Jessica, exactly what every little girl dreams her groom will do as she makes her way down the aisle to forever!

Baby C 6 month session with family
Whoa... We are back... It's been a hot minute. I have decided to begin blogging again.
I am so in love with this family's love and awe of one another in their new roles as parents. It is evident in these photos captured the other day!
As baby is right at 6 months, it can be difficult to showcase all of babies sitting upright and independently from their family so I grabbed this bucket from above my kitchen cabinets, the lemons from my dining room table, and the flowers from Tom Thumb!!! :) They created magic if I do say so myself.
I am enjoying shooting with this newest lens in my repertoire. What do you think?
Of course this beautiful family definitely helps!

Kaylee and Brett Sneaks
Decatur Civic Center
Congratulations on your marriage. I prayed over your day and now I pray over your lives as a married couple! I was especially touched by the pastor who performed your wedding. He wanted a wedding picture of y'all together because he puts it in a book to continue to pray over all of the couples he performs their wedding ceremony for! I love that.
I inadvertently knew Kaylee through her mom. When I first began teaching I worked at Justin Elementary with her mom. Then, I worked with her for 4 years at Sendera and I then got to follow her family grow on facebook. She was a dance girl, as was my daughter, so I felt like I knew Kaylee. I was so excited when she chose me to capture these very special moments.
I hope you enjoy these sneaks Kaylee!

Lemonade Stand- not so mini
First of all let me say. All of the kiddos today did great and made some adorable sessions. I decided to feature this particular session from today for parents.
When Juliet and her mom arrived she had just woken up and she was not too enthused with me taking her picture. As a momma, all I could think is how much this would stress me if we showed up for a photo shoot and my kids weren't feeling it. I had the time and I wanted "J" to feel comfortable because, lets face it, I care if we get the shots.
So we took our time and eased in. I am happy to report that she may have liked me by the end! Oh and... I got the shots. All good things come to those who wait.
Parents: when your kids aren't perfect for pictures, don't stress. Give them time to warm up. That is my job. As a mom of four, I definitely know you cannot always predict the day and time that will be best for your children and their many moods. Grateful we all stuck with it. I think this is such a sweet session. Even the sassy looks and the hiding her face. I love this session.
What helped: Mom brought some of her toys to make her feel comfortable. She brought drinks, snacks, and wipes. Mom even let her take her shoes off when she requested, which by the way, made for some great shots.

The first time she heard my shutter, this was the look I got. (disapproving) |
With each click of the button, she became more annoyed with me. :) (my own kids do this too!) |
Not having it! |
Mom doing a great job of patiently helping her feel more comfortable. |
I had to hide because she didn't want me near her. |
With mom near I got my first sweet look and smile! |
Getting more comfy! |
Kitty is helping her fill her glass |
She is a pro now |
Shoes off! We're in a groove now. |
I wish I could say it was my winning personality that won her over, but I think it was my lemonade making skills! <3 td="">3> |
Lastly, THOSE EYES |
